Entryways

5 step

GIRLY GLAM
Recently, one of my friends reached out to me for help with her entryway. She was stuck between making it a show stopping focal point with oversized art, or making it functional for her busy lifestyle with places to put all her things.
She’s the kind of gal who wants it all so we’re going to give it to her. I decided to 3D render her entryway to give her ideas in 5 simple steps.

step 1: define the space

The first thing we did was define the wall space. Like me, my friend has a very feminine style and likes a touch of glam, so we decided to use a stunning peel & stick wall mural. This makes such a bigger impact than any paint or generic decor piece you could find. Plus, peel and stick wallpaper is perfect for rentals like hers because it's easy to put up and take down, and you can even reuse it!

step 2: Choose your Seating

Choose Seating For a place to sit and take her heels off after a long day at work (or long night on the town!) we found a soft faux sherpa bench with gold legs that comes in pink! I’ve never seen sherpa in pink and I have to have it. It's absolutely adorable, and I'm obsessed with it.

step 3: Find Hanging Space

My friend changes her purses almost daily and desperately needed to get them up and off the floor. So, we gave her some gorgeous gold butterfly wall hooks to hang them on. Remember, always take advantage of your walls when you have limited storage space!

step 4: Add Storage

For additional storage, we gave her a chic brass basket for her mail (and lets be honest, its more than likely going to be filled with whatever gets dumped out of those bags). And then a matching petite tray for her keys and everyday essentials.

step 5: Accessorize!

Finally, we just needed some finishing touches. My favorite part! This is where you can really let your personality shine. For her, we added a gold faux-leather crocodile pillow that is honestly such a vibe. For high traffic areas I swear by washable doormats like this one from Ruggable. It's both stylish and washable.
And just like that her entryway is everything she wanted it to be: bold, artsy, super functional, glam and definitely girly. Everything that she is.
Welcome Home.
